Note: Dr Hamidullah wrote the seerat in 2 volumes in French. He never translated it into English despite being requested. This seerat is written by him in English. From the index of the book, it can be assumed that he maintained the same sequence in this seerat as he maintained in the French seerat, although this one is very short. Hence I wrote that this English seerat may be considered an abridged version of his two-volume seerat in French, not literally.
